I met Elysia and Allen though Elysia’s father, Edgar, who just so happens to be my landlord, turned friend. So when Edgar heard the exciting news that his daughter was getting married, he put her in touch with me, and long story short, booked me for their amazing destination wedding in Jamaica. (yah mon!)

I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be their photographer. And no, not just because I get to go on a cruise. But really because these are two of the most down to earth, generous, and kind-hearted people I’ve ever met. The love they share is real. The laugh with, and at, each other and it’s totally okay. They enjoy and totally adore one another. And I knew Allen was in love when he started talking with my husband about watching the Twilight movies with Elysia. (Note: mad love to my husband Val, who, yes, also went to watch it with me. At midnight. Opening night.)

Thank you to Edgar for introducing me to Elysia and Allen. And thank you, Elysia and Allen, for selecting me to be your photographer. I love you guys and can’t wait for September!

This was by FAR, the coolest wedding I’ve shot so far. Not only were Iggy and Rhea an absolute joy (as was their family and fabulous coordinator, Margaret from High Beam Events), but really? You just can you go wrong with downtown Austin AND the Rally of Texas biker festival as your backdrop! Rhea and Iggy were just as excited as I was to wonder the streets and take advantage of it all.

Okay so Rhea *really* wanted a shot with some bikers. So… we stood in the street, risking life and limb, and waved down this really cool couple who were more than happy to take a shot with us. They were so much fun!

And this shot was taken by Benny Ventura, who helped me out with assisting and running the photo booth for the guests. I thought this image reflected the love and good times we all had. (Thanks Benny for everything. You’re awesome!)
